We start off with a couple of the local Comp Eliminator stars: Langley's Bob Marshall on the left and North Vancouver's Rob Harrison on the right.
After a quick wheelstand by a '69 Plymouth GTX, it's time for the low qualifier bonus presentations, with Nitro Funny Car driver Tim Boychuk receiving the cash and tools from Jet Equipment's Bill Jeffery.
Two more presentations, with Jeffery congratulating Ron Sekura of the Rocky Mountain Funny Car Association and low qualifier in Comp, Rob Harrison, receiving similar accolades.

One pair later, Tim Boychuk upped the ante with another new Canadian nostalgia nitro flopper record, at a very stout 5.70 - 253.66. Then it was on to the nostalgia alky funnys with Greg Howland's "Zeus" leading off.
Two more Northwest BB/Funny Car members burning out here, with Ron Huegli on the left and Kim Parker on the right.
Next up is the Rocky Mountain Funny Car group, with the Sekura brothers doing there patented 1000 foot burnouts. This weekend it's Ron on the left and Corey on the right.
You want more nitro? Okay, here's Maple Ridge's Ron Houniet on his Top Fuel Harley. How about some "street" cars? Here's Agassiz's Trevor Lowe burning out in his '57 Chev.
Bring back the murals and metalflake. Recapturing the spirit of the earlier funny cars, Oregon's Clint Thompson has got one wicked looking mural on the hood of his car. In the spirit of symmetry, we just had to throw in a pic of his unique Fontana/Miner engine.
Burnouts? We got 'em, with Tim "Iceman" Nemeth on the left and Kim "hell on Wheels" Parker blazing the hides on the right.
Here's a contrast: on the left it's the Sekura Brothers backing up in their funny cars, while on the right, it's Stefan Kondolay wailing away in an early Austin pickup.
Wheelstanding Volkswagen's? Yep, and this one flat flies, with 8.50 e.t.'s and over 160 mph speeds. On the right it's another streeter, as Winfield's Kerry Stone chowders the balonies (?!?) in his 6-second turboed Camaro.
Turning the volume just a touch, it's Vicki Strell (aka: Agent 99) ready to launch her Chevy-powered DEMON on the way to another winning pass. And as if by magic, she's back again, in the other lane, doing a burnout.
One more pic of Ms. Strell on her way to another winning run before the finalists in the Northwest BB/Funny Car group meet for their final round, with Royce Taylor on the left and Randy Parker on the right.
Finishing out our photo highlights, we've got the two nitro funny car finalists staging up, with Tim Boychuk being guided into the beams by none other than the living legend, Roland Leong, while on the right, Jake Sanders leads his dad Mark into the lights.
And in a late-breaking development, we've just received some photos of the Super Pro E.T. winner, Vicki Strell, posing with her new best friend, Wally, and basking in the glow of victory. You go Girl!
Here's the car almost ready to launch in the final and crew chief Dave celebrating as the winlight comes on.
Here's the happy winner pointing to a soon-to-be-hers Wally (is that a coke in that foamie, or are you just happy to have won again, Vicki?) and on the right side, proudly holding her trophy and the winner's cheque.
Our last shot sees the whole happy family celebrating another win for Strell Racing.
The Kokomotion Man himself: Bob and Irene Kokotailo took part in the awards ceremonies in front of the tower. On the right we've got Jet Equipment rep Bill Jeffery handing an award to Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car low qualifier Tim Boychuk.
Then Bill gets to spread a little largesse to Ron Sekura, low qualifier for the Rocky Mountain Funny Car association, while on the right it's Mutt & Jeff.... I mean Bill Jeffery congratulating and rewarding low qualifier for the Northwest BB/Funny Car association, Greg Howland.
I certainly hope I get this one right as I'm presuming it's John Breckenridge receiving accolades and gifts from Bill Jeffery for being top qualifier in Top Fuel Harley. And on the right we have the final award being presented to Rob Harrison for leading the pack in Comp Eliminator.
With everyone ready to race, the start of the national anthems signal the prelude to firing the first pair.
