The latest update as of September 8, 2021
We've got all the photos posted from Mo-Kan Dragways 55th annual "Decade of Wheels" event that ran last weekend, but we're going to take another day to get all the captions and e.t.s/speeds to go with them. We'll start on it this evening, but as with all things at Northern Thunder, it's going to take some time. Complicating that task is the raft of the photos from the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals which just arrived in the old in-box. Just six dozen of them to go through from Friday's qualifying, then later in the week, Sunday's eliminations batch. Then before we have a chance to take a deep breath, the NHRA West Regional from Phoenix's Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park is running this coming weekend, and yes, we've got our SouthWest correspondent, BIG Bob Snyder on hand to capture all the action with his trusty Nikon.

Final Rounds
Continuing her strong run of success in an amazing rookie year on the FCC circuit, Jade Cook (near lane) in her aptly named "Nemesis" took the win over veteran Chris Schneider (far lane) in the Mustang-bodied "Brutus" entry. We haven't seen any of the round sheets yet but Cook's second win of the season, along with two runner-ups may have moved her all the way up the ladder to the #3 position, from the #7 spot she occupied before this event
Finally breaking through for his first win (and first final round) of the season, Shayne Lawson (near lane) in the iconic "Man O' War" Mustang, took the win over the high-country Camaro of the Jackson family, the "High Heaven", wheeled by Keith Jackson. Lawson has most likely moved up two spots in the standings, from his #10 position coming into the weekend
The final race of the night, for the BIG bucks and trophy featured the #1 and #2 racers in the FCC world, with Ken Singleton (near lane) in his very familiar (in almost every final round) "High Risk" entry, facing his toughest opponent all season, Kirk Williams (far lane) in the "Williams Bros. Racing" car, and they put on another great battle that saw the winlight come on in Singleton's lane. In his sixth consecutive final round, Singleton notched his fourth win of the year and lengthened the points lead over his very worthy opposition. Williams took his third runner-up of the year in his fifth final round
