The latest update as of June 8, 2021

With the halfway point reached in the eight event FUNNY CAR CHAOS schedule for 2021, we've got the updated points standings posted below. It's interesting to note that there have been some major changes over the course of the last few races, and a number of new faces have appeared in the upper echelon of the standings at this point. Most surprising of all, to most followers of FCC, is the #3 driver on the list, Jade Cook, driving her canary yellow "Nemesis", and running without nitro, without a blower, without a turbo, even without a hemi. She's consistently gone rounds at every event this year and came close to reaching another final round at Eddyville before a small problem forced her to shut off before staging in the semi-finals.

While the two-time defending series champion, Ken Singleton is still on top of the standings, he's got company in the form of Kirk Williams who has run successfully at NHRA national and regional events in recent years, but has become a full-time member of FCC in 2021. In fact, he's got the hottest car and team in the pits currently, taking the rain-delayed Odessa final during the final qualifying session at Eddyville, then doubling up with the event win later in the day to pull into a tie for the points lead with Singleton. His final round opponent both times on Saturday was Mr. Singleton and the "High Risk" car. It looks like it's going to be quite a battle between these two for the rest of the ' season.

If you want to see the full standings, go to the Funny Car Chaos website and you'll see all 72 drivers that have garnered points so far this year. Note that a racer can only count their seven best races towards the championship. If they miss a race, that counts as their "dropped" race in the final totals.
