Funny Car Chaos - Eddyville - 2021

It seems like we've just barely finished posting the photos and some of the story from the Good Vibrations March Meet in May event and we're already prepping for this weekend's FUNNY CAR CHAOS event in Oskaloosa, Iowa, home of Eddyville Raceway Park, site of race #4 on the 2021 schedule for the FCC gang. Our photographer, Bob Snyder is already on site and will be sending us photos of all the action from Friday's qualifying and Saturday's final qualifying and eliminations. Then it's down the road a piece to Kearney, Nebraska's, Kearney Raceway Park for event #5 on the FCC schedule next weekend. It's going to be a busy month here, with even more race coverage coming from Bandimere Speedway over the next six weeks too. Stay tuned for all of that... and more.

For this weekend's FCC event at Eddyville, there are 31 cars pre-entered, including several newcomers to the circuit. Easily one of the most recognizable names from the history of Fuel Funny Car racing is the iconic "Chi-Town Hustler" and it will be there, driven by Mike Minick, the grandson of the original Chi-Town driver, Pat Minick. Joining the Hustler team will be another NHRA Top Alcohol "refugee" as Lance Van Hauen will bring his "little big show" car into the Chaos corral for the first time, joining Chris Foster, Kirk Williams and Bill Naves as four TA/FC's will compete with the assortment of blown fuel and alcohol and nitrous injected (Jade Cook and her "Nemesis" entry) cars for this event.

And as an added bonus, Wulff Pumps has stepped up with the money to support another "C" field, giving 24 cars a chance in eliminations. But wait... there's even more! There's four injected funny cars and a pair of Jet funny cars running too. It's guaranteed to be quite a show, and we can hardly wait for the first batch of photos from Big Bob tomorrow. Stay tuned for that and more this weekend.
