Now what could be better than a fuel funny car burnout? Of course.... TWO nitro floppers lighting the hides and we've got two of the best with Mark "Mr. Explosive" Sanders in the foreground, and coming up fast on the outside: the "Jungle Jim" tribute car driven by Jon (not Ron) Capps. While Bakersfield was always a dragster-centric race in the old days, it's certainly hosted the largest gatherings of funny cars in modern times, with a record 40 - yes 40 - count them all - blown fuel funny cars at last fall's Hot Rod Reunion
