FUNNY CAR CHAOS #5 - Central Illinois Dragway (Havana, IL)

We've received a heap of photos from our trusty correspondent Bob Snyder but the clock is ticking down and it's going to be tomorrow and Wednesday before we can get them all posted and captioned. The important details: aka "Who Won?" are as follows:

WINNER: Steve Timoszyk in the "Detroit Tiger" 4.05 - 175 mph
Runner-Up: Mark McElwee in the "Buzzy's Bomber" 9.85 - 79 mph

B Field
WINNER: Mike Smith in the "Nor'Easter" 4.18 - 149 mph
Runner-Up: Joey Haas in the "Nimrod" 4.50 - 153 mph

UNITED NITRO FUNNY CAR - Pacific Raceways (Kent, WA)

We've "borrowed" a number of photos from last Friday's (July 26) UNFC event at Pacific Raceways. It was a one-day (actually night) event run as part of the Goodguys Nostalgia Drags. The format saw all cars make two qualifying passes, then the two quickest came back in the final for the money run.
