Smober time and other "smobering" thoughts

Wow, this is like starting over from scratch. Since the last time this page was udpated, I've tossed out my two old computers, bought a brand-new state-of-the-art piece (that is already way out of date, of course) and basically forgotten how to put together a web page or where any of the old pages are stored on this new computer.

Getting the old NT website back to where it was a few years ago will be virtually impossible, but I'm not going to sweat that for now. The journey I've been on this year has helped me re-focus on what is really important in life... like enjoying every day as much as possible and not worrying about what's happened in the past.

I'll slowly add some thoughts and pictures to this page throughout the week and try to coherently arrange my thoughts about the Lucas Oils Northwest Nationals that I so "deeply enjoyed" attending (for one day) in late July. In the meantime, here's the latest score from my personal QuitMeter that constantly runs on my desktop:

Smober time:   7 months, 2 weeks, 3 days, 1 hour, 1 minute, 18 seconds
Amount saved:   $3,249.52 CDN   Cigarettes not smoked:   7558
Life saved:   3 weeks, 5 days, 5 hours, 50 minutes

Geez, those numbers sure add up after a while. The scariest thing is the amount of (after-tax) dollars that I've saved already. Man, if I'd only started on this path about 36 years ago.... well, let's not worry about that and just enjoy another day on planet earth.

I'll try to add some photos from Seattle later today.

Which would you rather be doing, Bob????
