The latest update as of August 29, 2001
It's nearing midnight and the alarm is set for 5:30 am, so this will be
one of the shortest What's New updates on record. Click on the "Fear and
Loathing" logo above and spend some time checking out a real drag racing
roadtrip, courtesy of our good friend Phil Hutchison on the East Coast.
He started his trip at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland last weekend;
stopped for a quick pitstop at home, then flew to Indianapolis yesterday for
this weekend's US Nationals.
Then he shifts into high gear next week, covering the NHRA Division One
race at Englishtown, New Jersey, before scooting up to Epping, New Hampshire
for the IHRA North American Nationals. If he's still not out of gas, money,
or his mind, he'll pick up the chase at the Keystone Nationals on the following
weekend and after a weekend off (slacker!), finish up his journey at the Budds
Creek, Maryland President's Cup Nationals.
The first three installments of his story are now posted, complete with
the first (of many, we hope) great photos from the events. Check it out, then
keep checking back for the continuing story over the next month. This should
be fun.
