Late news from our friend, Scott Ferguson in Adelaide, has provided us with the basic results from the 4th round of the Australian Top Alcohol Championship, held at Calder Park Raceway (Melbourne) on Saturday, February 21st. The results are in from the Castrol New Year Series - Round 3 race from Willowbank Raceway. Featured at this event was the 5th round of the Australian Top Fuel Championship. Surprises included the 1st round loss of Graeme Cowin and the semi-final demise of Glenn Mikres; co-leaders inthe point standings coming into the race. Darkhorses, Robin Kirby and Terry Sainty met in the final, with the result being a major shake-up of the points table. See all the numbers by visiting our Results Menu.

The second event on the NHRA National Event Calendar was just completed at Firebird International Raceway near Phoenix, Arizona. After losing the first day of qualifying to rain, racers had only two chances to qualify on Saturday, and consequently some major names failed to make the field, while some unfamiliar names made the cut.
