The latest update as of February 7, 2000

NO TIME to do an update today, so I'll make this quick and to the point. I blew it. I haven't been paying enough attention to the NHRA rules revisions and made a very glaring (judging by the feedback that's come in today) error about NHRA's current supercharger overdrive limits for Federal-Mogul dragsters. For the record: Rick Santos was running 104 % overdrive when he ran 5.35 at 262+ at Pomona yesterday. Damn stout numbers with any amount of overdrive, but if he'd only had the 92% that I thought . . . then they'd be "off the planet" numbers. Still, it looks like more ammunition for the "we have parity, so we won't change nothing" crowd in Glendora. More, LOTS more tomorrow.
